Botox & TMD Therapy

Botox is widely known for its cosmetic benefits, but its therapeutic applications in dentistry and medicine are just as powerful. In the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), Botox can be used to target and relax hyperactive muscles responsible for jaw clenching, grinding (bruxism), and tension-related facial pain. By injecting Botox into specific muscles such as the masseter and temporalis, we can reduce muscle overactivity, helping to alleviate discomfort, minimize wear on teeth, and improve jaw mobility. This minimally invasive approach is especially beneficial for patients who have not responded well to conventional treatments like night guards or physical therapy. In many cases, Botox therapy can lead to significant relief from chronic headaches, facial tightness, and pain associated with TMJ dysfunction.
