Gum Disease
Gum disease, or periodontal disease, is a serious condition affecting the gums and bone. Early detection and treatment help prevent tooth loss and protect overall health. If you think you might have this condition, book an appointment to see one of our dedicated dentists. We’re here to help!
Scaling and Root Planing
This deep cleaning procedure removes plaque and tartar from beneath the gumline. It smooths the root surfaces if there is hardened build up, encourages healing, and helps stop the progression of gum disease.
Flap Surgery
Flap surgery is performed when advanced gum disease causes deep pockets around the teeth. The gums are gently lifted to allow thorough cleaning, then sutured back to reduce pocket depth and promote healing.
Connective Tissue Graft
A connective tissue graft corrects receding gums by adding new tissue from the roof of the mouth, or donor tissue. This protects exposed roots, reduces sensitivity, and improves the appearance of your gum line.
